It all starts with a few fabrics! My clients’ style is traditional but she doesn’t want a stuffy traditional look. She wants people to be welcomed by texture, color and unique patterns and not feel uncomfortable in a room with fancy tassels, boring over-used fabrics or wingback chairs that are stiff and cold. Blue is her favorite color. This whimsical but soft rug of blues and greens will be the foundation and set the casually elegant tone. ( the color rug above it will lie in an adjacent room) The colorful linen fabric will steal the show and be used as the drapery fabric. The room will have a dusty blue sofa which will be brought to life by a pair of colorful striped pillows. Stay tuned for the end result. This living room is sure to be a stunner!
